Tour Bookings

what is touring?

Myth: Touring is a glorified road trip, paid for in full by promoters, clubs and of course millions of fans who just can’t wait to buy tickets and tons of your merch!

Truth: It can be, but not right away!!

It can take artists years to become known and develop a good following in their area, let alone internationally!  A question you have to ask yourself is ‘who’s going to pay for something they’ve never heard of?’  The answer is simple, NO ONE!!  This is where Live Vision can help.

What is needed for a successful tour?

1) A CD/Video – No one will book band without an adequate representation of who they are booking!  You must have a CD to sell/give away on tour and a video to show who you are!

2) Promo – You must show venues that you have people watching, listening and waiting for you!  This includes press, FB fan pages, website, blogs, etc…

3) A fan base in your city – If you can’t get friends, family and fans to care at all about what you’re doing, how can you get complete strangers, half way across the country to care?

4) Press Kit – Unless you know all the promoters and clubs in the country, you must have a professional press kit to book shows.  No ifs, ands or buts!

5) Press release – If no one knows you’re coming then no one’s coming to your show.

This is just the beginning of the touring process!  Once you have all of these things in order you also have to think about travel, accommodation, promo/press while on the road (radio, tv, news, etc…), merch sales, etc…  The list is almost endless!

All of this may seem daunting, but it is not impossible. We can help you achieve a successful tour as long as you are dedicated and capable.  The road is tough and you have to be prepared! That’s why we’re here!

If you’ve been on the road for any period of time, you will know what we are talking about and we are here for you too!  If you’re planning on doing another tour and need some help, give us a call!  We’re happy to help.
